People who smoke have an increased incidence of gum disease (periodontal disease), and the bone and tooth loss associated with it. Moreover, smokers can have gum disease even without any signs of bleeding.
Aging and Teeth Staining
With all of today's media hype, the pressure to look younger increases on American women every day. But despite smoking being is one of the greatest contributors to the aging mouth (not to mention teeth staining), more than 22 million women in the United States smoke cigarettes, according to the Center for Disease Control.
